Katsukai-Do Country: Espana Founder: Soke Adolfo Gomez Gutierrez 7th Dan in Katsukai-Dô 6th Dan Buguei, 5th Dan
Karate Shukokai 4th Dan
Self Defense Police International
master. Year of
creation: 1998 Style
motto: Sen no sen o espíritu
de anticipación” Objectives:
I understand that the practitioner of this must follow the path of Bushido,
in this way to become a samurai of the 21st century. That is why
it has the duty to put into practice all the values of Bushido that can be
applied today, and in a social, civic and ethical context adapted to our
times. We are
governed by a code, which is defined within a trilogy, and consists of three
elements and which are: Peace, Harmony, Controlled Force: • Peace, it
extends to all levels from men to men. • Harmony,
is the fullness of being able to be and belong to everything that surrounds
us. •
Controlled force, I understand that the human being to defend himself, even
in our days uses physical force, for that reason I preach that as far as
possible we neutralize that impetus of unjustified force, in order to reach a
peaceful solution. Antecedents
of the system: Karate, Muay Thai, Buguei, Wing Tsun, as well as a high content of Kyusho,
are some of the Martial Arts from which some of their techniques take Katsukai-Dô, although it has philosophy, and own
techniques, since it is a system of personal defense in constant evolution. Description:
¿What is Katsukai-Do? The Katsukai-Do is a modern martial art integrated within the
Gendai Budo (Modern
Martial Art) that encompasses several disciplines. We could
say that the base that supports all this compendium and hierarchical
organizational structure is Japanese, for this reason it is expressed in the
language of the country of the rising sun. The concept
of "defense by defense" does not exist, the best defense is an
attack, although we must clarify that the "action-reaction" must be
perfectly balanced, since unlike many martial arts and combat systems we do
not contemplate "everything" okay". So we rely
heavily on the terminology "Sen not sen"
which means more or less, "spirit of anticipation", so we must dose
the reaction to any reaction and manage the defense strategy. The Katsukai-Do also has in its learning the handling of
weapons, such as: bo, nunchaku, tonfa,
sai, and kei-jo. Web Site: http://katsukaido.wixsite.com/katsukaido
